Job Description:
Responsibilities:
  • Act as Program Manager to ensure project activities and objectives are aligned to the overall program.
  • Deliver governance and reporting.
  • Deliver standard Program Management artifacts (Charter, PCR etc.).
  • Identify and manage project interdependencies.
  • Create and maintain program RAID log.
  • Conduct stakeholder analysis and stakeholder feedback sessions.
Must Have:
  • Large technology transformation project experience.
  • Extensive stakeholder management experience including executive communication.
  • Extensive experience running large projects in the public sector.
Experience and Skill Set Requirements:
Evaluation Breakdown Knowledge - 20%:
  • Tell us how long candidate have been a project manager and what formal training and certifications candidate have in project management.
  • I would like candidate to tell us about a specific experience managing a large infrastructure based project.
  • Tell us what the project was about, providing details about scope, budget, resources and technology involved.
  • Was the project successful and what were some of the lessons learned.
Experience - 30%:
  • Tell us about one of candidate project experiences that did not result in the delivery of a successful project and why.
  • If candidate haven't had such an experience, tell us, based on candidate experience, what are some of the major causes of projects not being successful.
  • Give an example where candidate had to hold candidate stakeholders, customers, executives accountable on commitments, communication and project decisions.
  • Based on candidate experience, what do candidate feel are the major items that need to be included in effective project reporting and how do candidate ensure the quality of the information going into these reports.
Knowledge - 20%:
  • Tell us what techniques and methods candidate use to formulate a communications plan at the beginning of a project to ensure that all project stakeholders receive the information they need during the project life cycle.
  • Experience Financial accountability is a key requirement of the PM role within our organization.
  • Based on candidate experience, what do candidate feel are the key elements of financial reporting on a project.
