Overview:

As a Finishing Foreman, you will be responsible for leading, supervising, and motivating a small crew of construction workers in the Trim division. Based at one of our residential construction sites in Ottawa, you will play a pivotal role in overseeing and participating in the finishing operations, ensuring the highest standards of quality and efficiency.

Primary Responsibilities:

• Measure and order trim and cabinet materials to meet project requirements.
• Complete necessary repairs using required tools.
• Lead and coordinate employees and subcontractors involved in finishing tasks.
• Ensure the quality and accuracy of installation through thorough inspections.
• Provide project planning and management support, overseeing tasks and schedules.
• Participate in safety and incident investigations and reviews, maintaining a safe work environment.
• Assist the project coordinator in reviewing and updating construction schedules based on on-site experiences.
• Ensure all workers receive the proper training and guidance as a working foreman.
• Attend weekly and quarterly production meetings, offering insights into finishing progress and challenges.

Qualifications:

• Proven track record in supervising employees, showcasing strong leadership abilities.

• Extensive experience in carpentry and trim, ensuring high-quality workmanship.
