Dynamic Concrete Pumping Inc. is the Premier provider of concrete pumping , placing and finishing services to Various large and small contractors across Western Canada .

We are seeking a skilled Heavy Equipment Mechanic to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining a variety of heavy machinery and equipment. Your expertise will ensure that our equipment operates efficiently and safely, supporting the needs of our operations. The ideal candidate will have a strong mechanical background and the ability to work with various types of industrial equipment.

Job Description: Your main responsibilities will be maintaining a fleet of varied equipment ranging from concrete pump trucks mounted on Various Heavy duty Chassis to medium and light duty pickup trucks , and at times various industrial equipment such as forklifts and placing and finishing equipment. On a day-to-day basis, you will be expected to perform daily running maintenance and small repairs as required to keep the equipment up time to a maximum. . To achieve this, you will be working as part of a team of other technicians and welders. Your work will enable the company to continue to grow and maintain the companies high status in the pump, place and finish construction industry.

Requirements and Qualifications: You will be a motivated, self-starter who can work independently and as part of a team in a busy fast paced environment . You will have completed your HET truck and transport certification (Red seal Preferred) and will have or be able to attain your Alberta C.V.I.P certification. You will have a minimum of 5 Yrs. experience in:

  • electrical and Hydraulic diagnosis and repair.
  • Minor engine repair and extensive experience in brake/driveline repair
  • Be willing to work overtime (weekend and late day work often required )
  • Class 3 or higher driver's license preferred .

Duties

  • Diagnose mechanical issues in heavy equipment and machinery using schematics and technical manuals.
  • Perform repairs and maintenance on a range of equipment including farm machinery and Caterpillar products.
  • Utilize hand tools and power tools effectively to carry out repairs and adjustments.
  • Conduct routine inspections to identify potential issues before they become major problems.
  • Maintain accurate records of repairs, parts used, and services performed.
  • Provide exceptional customer service by communicating effectively with clients regarding their equipment needs and repair status.
  • Assist in heavy lifting tasks as required during repairs or maintenance activities.

Skills

  • Strong mechanical knowledge with experience in diagnosing and repairing industrial equipment.
  • Familiarity with schematics and technical manuals for effective troubleshooting.
  • Experience working in a dealership or similar environment is preferred.
  • Proficient in using hand tools and power tools safely and effectively.
  • Ability to perform heavy lifting as needed during repair tasks.
  • Excellent customer service skills to interact positively with clients and team members.
  • Knowledge of farm machinery is a plus, enhancing versatility in handling various equipment types.
