ABOUT THE POSITION
National 10 is looking for experienced Doorstaff to fill out their team on a full-time seasonal basis. Join the National team and put your outgoing personality and security skills to use in a fast-paced environment. As one of the first points of contact for guests, the door/security team is responsible for making all patrons feel welcome. During the evening, doorstaff are responsible for ensuring patrons are safe while enjoying their time.

WHAT YOU'LL DO
- Greet and assist all patrons treating them as welcome guests.
- Check for proper identification ensuring all patrons are of legal age and uphold age restriction
- Respectfully refuse admittance to underage and intoxicated clientele.
- Control line ups and ensure a clear exit for departing guests.
- Complete and maintain proper capacity counts as set forth by the fire department and AGLC, informing management of counts throughout evening.
- Maintain entrance cleanliness, ensuring safe accessibility of the venue.
- Ensure you are maintaining strong lines of communication with bartenders/servers/support staff.
- Monitor customers to ensure their safety and the safety of staff and property.
- Assist in closing procedures, such as light cleaning and bussing, and informing patrons of last call, ensuring all guest have left the building.
- Ensure that no customer leaves with property or beverages.
- Extend a “Thank You” and assist departing guests with arranging for transportation or locating their friends and belongings as necessary.
WHAT YOU HAVE
- Previous Door / Security experience is considered an asset.
- Personable and assertive individual interested in gaining hospitality experience.
- Strong communication skills and out-going personality with ability to establish and develop relationships with both guests and employees.
- Strong team player, punctual for shifts and reliable to execute work as assigned.
- ProServe and ProTect Certificates are required but can be obtained within 30 days of starting.
- Ability to fluently communicate in both written and verbal English
- Ability to maintain professionalism, control, and composure in difficult and stressful situations.
- Be able to work in a standing position for long periods of time.
- Be able to safely lift and easily maneuver items frequently weighing up to 50 pounds.
- Must be over 18 and open scheduling availability is a requirement.
