We are a personal injury law firm seeking a Legal Assistant to become a part of our team! You will provide overall clerical support to our lawyers and paralegal.

Responsibilities:

• Assist in managing client files from open to close;
• Verbal and written communication with clients, counsel, clinics, courts, etc. on a daily basis to provide information, answer questions, schedule meetings, etc.
• Name and file various documents in Clio on a daily basis;
• Draft, request and provide client productions to all parties with regular basis (adjusters/counsel);
• Scheduling EOD, mediations, court appointments, etc.;
• Manage and maintain multiple calendars;
• Maintain and update electronic filing system; and
• Additional tasks as required.

Qualifications and Preferred Skills:

• 1+ years experience working as legal assistant (plaintiff personal injury considered an asset);
• Law Clerk and/or Legal Assistant Diploma;
• Familiarity with legal case management software and e-filing systems;
• Ability to work under pressure and multi-task in a fast paced environment;
• Very organized with excellent time management skills;
• High attention to detail;
• Computer savvy and a strong ability to learn new skills quickly;
• Work well independently as well as part of a team;
• Punctual, reliable and responsible;
• Excellent interpersonal skills;
• Effective communication skills; and
• Strong work ethic.
