Here's what you'd do:

• The Estimator is responsible for evaluating and preparing detailed cost estimates for the production and installation of custom metal and wood fixtures.
• Through collaboration with the client, design, manufacturing, and suppliers, the role involves analyzing project specifications and
• manufacturing processes to ensure accurate pricing of materials, labour, and overhead.
• Provide precise job estimates for custom retail fixtures, ensuring all material costs (including wood, metal, glass, acrylic, fabric and electrical components) and labour hours are accurately listed.
• Analyze architectural drawings, project renderings, and specifications to determine the scope of work and material requirements.
• Collaborate with clients and designers to discuss project requirements, clarify details, and request additional information as needed.
• Manage multiple estimating projects concurrently, prioritizing tasks to meet deadlines while maintaining accuracy and attention to detail.
• Compile comprehensive lists of materials required for manufacturing custom items, ensuring all components are accounted for.
• Fully understand custom manufacturing processes in order to accurately estimate labour hours needed for the production of custom fixtures (factoring in complexity and production methods).
• Work closely with production teams to understand manufacturing capabilities and constraints, ensuring estimates are realistic and achievable.
• Monitor changes or revisions to project plans and update estimates accordingly.
• Input and maintain all quotes and related data within the ERP system to ensure up-to-date records and facilitate project tracking.
• Review previously completed work orders to assess the accuracy of material and labour costs, ensuring consistency in future estimates.
• Participate in project kick off meetings to ensure all necessary teams have a clear understanding of the project scope, costs, and timelines.
• Identify opportunities for process improvement in estimating practices to enhance efficiency and accuracy.
• Stay updated on industry trends, material costs, and manufacturing processes.

Required Skills / Qualifications:

• High School Diploma or GED
• Minimum 6 years of proven estimating experience in a custom retail fixture manufacturing environment.
• Minimum 6 years of experience with materials, manufacturing processes, and costs related to metal and wood fabrication.
• Minimum 6 years of experience with estimating large custom client projects.
• Minimum 6 years of experience working with renderings, architectural and engineering drawings.
• Minimum 6 years of experience with wood and metal grades and specifications.
• Minimum 6 years of experience in Microsoft Office (including Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook)
• Minimum 6 years of experience with ERP systems.
