Job Profile:
Reporting to the Product Manager, you will be responsible for the planning and execution of a comprehensive testing program and ultimately, the overall quality assurance of ASSET PLANNER software.
Responsibilities:
You will design and execute comprehensive test cases to validate software functionality, ensuring effective coverage of new and existing features. The software is primarily an activity scheduling tool that must meet certain constraints and your ability to understand the interrelation between various inputs and their effect on results is paramount.
This will include, but is not limited to:
• Learning about the business we service to effectively perform your role.
• Design and execute comprehensive test cases to validate software functionality, ensuring effective coverage of new and existing features.
• Perform functional and regression testing within agile sprints to validate new features, bug fixes, and ensure system stability.
• Coordinate and execute additional testing as needed, such as performance, load & stress, usability, and integration testing, collaborating with relevant teams to address quality concerns.
• Develop, maintain, and enhance Cypress automation test coverage to ensure consistent reliability across critical workflows.
• Identify, document, and track defects, providing clear root cause analysis for efficient resolution.
• Collaborate cross-functionally with developers, product managers, and documentation teams to continuously improve software quality.
Qualifications
Required:
• 3+ years of experience in software QA, with expertise in both manual and automated testing.
• Strong attention to detail, adhering to quality assurance principles.
• Proven ability to plan, prioritize, and execute tasks effectively to meet deadlines.
• Hands-on experience with Cypress or similar test automation frameworks (JavaScript/TypeScript preferred).
• Strong problem-solving skills, with the ability to diagnose issues and recommend effective solutions.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills, working effectively with cross-functional teams.
• Ability to multitask efficiently, balancing in-sprint testing, automation maintenance, and test expansion.
• College or Bachelor's degree in a math or science related discipline or equivalent experience.
• A passion to learn new things and go the extra mile.
Preferred:
• Experience with PostgreSQL or other open-source databases.
• Background in Oil & Gas or Engineering Software.
• Familiarity with AI-assisted automation or test case creation tools.
