POSITION SUMMARY
Bridgette Bar Toronto is looking for a host to fill out their team on a full-time or part-time basis. Hosts are responsible for several functions including, but not limited to, greet all guests in a prompt and friendly manner, seat guests, and responsible for the overall flow of the restaurant. WHAT YOU'LL DO
- Welcome and greet guests at the door in a prompt and friendly manner.
- Answer text messages, receive and record reservations accurately in a pleasant and attentive manner.
- Answer questions about food, beverages and other restaurant functions and services over the phone and in person.
- Maintain cleanliness of front desk area, restocking supplies and ensuring menus are organized.
- Monitor and observe guests dining experience, ensuring guests are satisfied with the food and service. Respond promptly and courteously to any requests.
- Assist with settling bills and processing any credit, debit or cash transactions as required.
- Thank guests for their visit as they exit the restaurant and invite them to return.
- Be ready and willing to provide support as needed to ensure the smooth and efficient operation of the restaurant as directed by the manager in charge.
- Assist in arranging transportation for guests if required.
- Execute ad-hoc tasks are required.
WHAT YOU HAVE
- 1 years' experience is preferred but not required.
- Has worked with the Open Table program after, preferred not required.
- Comfortable interacting with a variety of personality types.
- Willingness to learn and extend their knowledge in the industry.
- Pro Serve certification required but can be obtained 30 days after joining.
- Ability to fluently communicate in both written and verbal English.
- Must be over 19 as alcohol service and open scheduling availability is a requirement.
