Title Automotive Body Technician Reports To Production Manager Summary Auto Body Technicians repair vehicles after they have been damaged in an accident or other incident. They use a wide array of tools to dismantle the vehicle, replace parts, and repair dents and scratches. Job Duties * Responsible for repairing collision/damaged vehicles according to manufacturer specifications and company standards. * Responsible for removing and replacing vehicle body panels; * Realign vehicle frames and chassis to repair structural vehicle damage; * Fit, attach and weld metal and aluminum replacement parts into place; * Metal finishing; * Body filler; * Bond and rivet panels Qualifications and Skills * 310B auto body and collision repair license ** Class G driver's license with the ability to operate automatic and manual transmissions. ** 2-5+ years of collision repair experience as a Body Man / Body Woman in a production body shop ** Ability to properly complete light to heavy repairs (hard hits), including structural and frame rails work ** Above average quality focus ** High production capabilities Work environment/Physical Requirements * Production shop can be dusty and noisy * Production shop can have odors such as fumes from paint, cars, and various cleaning supplies * Lifting vehicle parts such as panels, bumpers, etc. is required Company Profile CARSTAR Offers: * Best In Class facility * A competitive compensation plan * Benefits program * Initial and continuous training * Opportunity to grow within CARSTAR Canada * Career path to becoming a painter Join the leading team and be part of North America's largest and fastest growing collision repair network!
