Acara Solutions is seeking a Signaling & Communications Supervisor for our client in Toronto, ON! In this role, you will supervise all work activities of the Comms and S&TC maintenance team in performing preventative and corrective maintenance to the Communication & Signaling systems.

We are seeking qualified candidates with:

• Experience in telecommunications or network administration
• Excellent troubleshooting skills
• Demonstrated leadership ability

Here's what you'll do:

• Issue and review work orders assigned to maintenance team.
• Plan, lead, and support the team in performing maintenance activities according to established standards and procedures.
• Assist in producing a rolling four week look-ahead schedule and submit requests for Track Occupancy Permits (TOP) as required.
• Support the Maintenance Engineer in assessing repairs and overhauls and creating action plans.
• Ensure all required training is current and recertification is scheduled as required.
• Verify and maintain the inventory of tools and spares regarding quantity and calibration.
• Maintain traceability of the schedule against known and validated metrics.
• Report significant deviations and propose action plans to recover delays.
• Based on the Project KPI, report deviations along with analysis to the General Manager on a weekly basis.
• Create and maintain the Progress report.
• Organize warranty repairs with the original contractors or suppliers.
• Develop and implement techniques and procedures that ensure maintenance is conducted safely, reliably, and efficiently.
• Exercise independent judgment and actions to supervise maintenance team personnel in dealing with system/component failures and emergency incidents.

Position Type: Contract to potential Direct

Salary: Up to $105K/yr. **Depending on experience

Schedule: 100% Onsite **40 hours/week – Must be available for both day and night shift

Required Skills / Qualifications:

• High School Diploma or GED.
• Minimum 5 years' experience as a signaling or telecom technician.
• Minimum 1 year of experience as a team lead/delegating workflow.

Preferred Skills / Qualifications:

• Knowledge of Network troubleshooting or configuration.
• Low Voltage Certification.
• Knowledge of Rail/Vehicle environment.
• Working knowledge of Quality and Health & Safety standards.

Additional Information:

• G license required.
• Will perform work outside in all season elements.
• Must have the ability to pass a Color vision test.
