Your role at GEIWe are seeking an Intermediate Infrastructure Planning professional with 4+ years of experience in water, wastewater, and stormwater infrastructure planning. This role offers the opportunity to contribute to exciting and large-scale infrastructure planning projects, including master plans, feasibility studies, and hydraulic modeling assignments. You'll work closely with cross-functional teams, all while enjoying the flexibility of a hybrid work environment. Essential Responsibilities & Duties
- Assist with the management of water/wastewater/stormwater infrastructure planning projects, including master plans, intensification studies, system capacity assessments, and infrastructure servicing studies.
- Collaborate with senior project managers to ensure smooth project execution and support project planning and coordination.
- Manage and provide guidance to internal junior staff to support high quality and timely project delivery.
- Contribute to technical tasks such as wastewater collection analysis, stormwater servicing, water distribution, and hydraulic modeling based on your background and expertise.
- Help prepare key project deliverables, such as technical reports, client presentations, modeling outputs, and GIS mapping.
- Support the preparation of project proposals and contribute to maintaining positive client relationships.
- Assist in developing and expanding client relationships to help grow GEI's portfolio in the water/wastewater/stormwater sector.
- Professional Engineer in Ontario (P.Eng.) license or must be eligible to obtain within one year
- 4+ years of relevant experience in water, wastewater, and/or stormwater infrastructure planning.
- Degree in engineering, planning, or a related field.
- Knowledge of Canadian/GTA municipalities and basic experience with servicing analysis and network analysis.
- Experience or interest in master planning and Class EA processes.
- Familiarity with municipal engineering design and construction is a plus.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to work collaboratively within multi-disciplinary project teams.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel), GIS tools, and hydraulic modeling software (InfoWorks ICM, PCSWMM) is required.
- Proficiency in data management software such as Microsoft Access, PowerBI, SQL is an asset.
