What your day to day will look like:
Reporting into The Director of National Accounts and managing a team of 4 Account Managers who manage a total of 27 sites in the region. Overseeing a specific client portfolio across Edmonton, Cold Lake, Slave Lake, Edson, Hinton, Fort McMurray, Vegreville, Lloydminster, Claireview, St. Albert, Leduc, and Fort Saskatchewan. Travel includes weekly for local around Edmonton and bi-weekly - monthly for sites outside of Edmonton with overnight travel 1 or 2 times a year. When not on the road you are welcome to work from the comfort of home.
- Develop and maintain relationships with potential clients, actively supporting company growth through leading business development efforts and understanding the regional market.
- Work with Regional Directors to create a strategic plan for any roll outs of new clients or client locations.
- Provide the best service and customer relations in the industry managing client escalations ensuring satisfaction and resolution.
- Ensure budgetary compliance within the region reviewing regional business forecasts (financial and resources) as required.
- Maintain KPI's for region and clients as required.
- Lead, coach, monitor and hold Regional Directors accountable for the development and delivery of business plans in accordance with Scandinavian Building Services vision for long term success.
- Communicate with staff to resolve performance and personnel problems; discuss and implement company policies and procedures.
- Identify weaknesses and work with teams to strategize for creating or improving processes and procedures to improve company performance.
- Manage compliance escalations within region with all internal and external administrative requirements (health and safety, incident reports, onboarding requirements etc.)
- Travel; approximately 60% travel within local region (daily travel within local city/ area) and up to 20% travel within larger region.
What you'll need to succeed:
- Minimum 10 years managerial/ leadership experience with mid-senior level direct reports including at least 3 years at the Reginal Director level.
- Previous managerial experience in the janitorial industry is required, Director level experience is preferred.
- Post secondary education in business or management is preferred.
- Proven success in project and operational management.
- Excellent people management skills with demonstrated ability to grow key client relationships and strategically overcome internal challenges or obstacles.
- Reliable vehicle and license travel within region 60% and 20% in larger regions.
