Role Overview:

Our client is seeking a Senior Systems Administrator to manage and maintain their server infrastructure. The role involves installing, configuring, and ensuring the performance and reliability of servers. The Senior Systems Administrator will handle software updates, backups, and server configurations while managing user permissions and ensuring system security.

Key Responsibilities:

• Monitor and maintain server performance and troubleshoot issues.
• Perform regular system checks and manage essential tasks like backups.
• Provide after-hours support for server issues.
• Document and optimize system configurations.
• Manage cloud environments and collaboration tools.
• Oversee server setup, updates, and maintenance.
• Support directory services and related systems.
• Advise on system improvements and new technologies.
• Manage network and security infrastructure.
• Implement security measures to protect systems.
• Manage identity and access solutions.
• Research and recommend new technologies to improve operations.

Key Competencies:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Engineering
• 8-10 years of related experience, with at least 5 years in the key support role
• Ability to lift up to 25 pounds regularly, occasionally up to 75 pounds

Preferred:

• Experience with after-hours on-call support
• Experience with Microsoft Azure, AWS, SharePoint Server, and SQL Server
• Strong communication skills
• Excellent time management and organizational skills
• Proactive and able to work well both independently and within a team
