Belvika is currently seeking a Warehouse Manager for its Export facility, located in Mississauga. Reporting to the Operations Site Manager or designate. The Warehouse Manager is responsible for overseeing all warehouse and distribution operations, including shipping & receiving, workplace safety and supporting inventory management. The role ensures efficient storage, movement, and distribution of materials and finished goods while maintaining compliance with all safety regulations, labour laws, and industry standards. The Warehouse Manager leads a team, optimizes warehouse processes, and collaborates with production, planning, sales, and logistics to support business goals. Key Responsibilities: Warehouse & Distribution Operations Management: * Oversee receiving, storing, picking, and shipping of materials and products to ensure FEFO * Ensure warehouse layout and storage systems are optimized for space utilization and efficiency * Support inventory control procedures to prevent loss, damage, and discrepancies. * Ensure on-time order fulfillment by coordinating with production, planning, logistics. * Manage the flow from receiving to production and finished goods movement to distribution. * Develop and improve warehouse management systems, operating procedures, and work specifications, and supervise their implementation. * Ensure all documentation related to warehouse and distribution is accurately recorded and completed. Team Leadership & Workforce Management: * Recruit, train, and manage warehouse staff, supervisors, and forklift operators. * Monitor team performance, set KPIs, and provide coaching to improve productivity. * Develop and enforce warehouse standard operating procedures (SOPs). * Conduct performance evaluations, provide coaching and work direction, and determine training and development needs. * Handle recruitment, hiring, disciplinary measures, and terminations in coordination with HR. KPI Reporting & Logistics Coordination: * Ensure strong inventory and shipping accuracy through regular audits and reconciliations. * With support from the inventory team, monitor inventory levels, and ensure efficient warehouse layout for optimal space utilization. * Prepare shipments and oversee the efficient organization, labeling, and shipping of goods. * Work closely with the Site Manager to ensure warehouse and distribution operations align with company budgets and objectives. * Define and implement service standards for warehouse service providers (3PLs) under their responsibility. * Ensure all daily, weekly, and monthly KPI reports are completed and reviewed in accordance with company policies. Health, Safety, and Compliance: * Ensure compliance with Canadian health & safety regulations (OHSA, WHMIS, WSIB, etc.). * Conduct safety audits and training programs to maintain a safe work environment. * Maintain a clean, organized, and safe warehouse and distribution environment in accordance with company standards and safety regulations. Process Optimization & Cost Control: * Identify and implement continuous improvement initiatives (Lean, 5S, Kaizen, etc.). * Analyze warehouse efficiency metrics and cost structures to optimize operations. * Work with logistics providers to manage transportation costs and shipping efficiency. * Develop and implement a continuous improvement program for warehouse and distribution services to enhance cost efficiency and operational effectiveness. Qualifications: * Minimum of 5 years in logistics, supply chain management, or distribution center operations. * 3-5 years in a leadership role within warehouse or distribution operations. * Strong knowledge of inventory management, logistics, and warehouse best practices. * Experience with ERP/WMS systems (SAP, Oracle, Microsoft Dynamics, etc.). * Experience with Nulogy software is an asset. Education: * Bachelor's degree or Diploma in Business, Supply Chain, Industrial Engineering, or a related field (preferred). Skills & Competencies: * Strong leadership, coaching, and team-building abilities. * Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. * Problem-solving and analytical mindset. * Knowledge of safety and regulatory standards in warehouse operations. * Commitment to continuous improvement and operational excellence. * Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook) for reporting and analysis. * Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
