Our partnered client, a leader in high-quality packaging solutions, is seeking an experienced Die Cut Supervisor (Rotary) to oversee machine operations and mentor staff. This role is ideal for a hands-on leader with expertise in die-cutting and a passion for training and process improvement.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Machine Operation & MaintenanceOversee the setup, operation, and troubleshooting of the die-cutting machine.Perform minor maintenance and coordinate with the maintenance team for repairs.Optimize machine performance to reduce downtime and improve productivity.
Leadership & TrainingSupervise, mentor, and train machine operators and assistants on the Rotary Ward 1500 66x113, 3-colour die cutter.
Develop and implement training programs to improve operator efficiency and product quality.
Monitor team performance, provide coaching, and ensure adherence to safety and quality standards.
Quality Control & Process ImprovementEnsure finished products meet industry and company quality standards.
Implement continuous improvement initiatives to enhance efficiency and reduce waste.
Maintain accurate records of production, material usage, and equipment maintenance.
Safety & ComplianceEnforce safety protocols and ensure a clean, organized work environment.
Conduct regular safety and operational checks on equipment.
Ensure compliance with all industry regulations and company policies.
Monitor team performance, provide coaching, and ensure adherence to safety and quality standards.
Qualifications & Skills Required
4+ years of experience in the corrugated industry
Experience working with corrugated machines with various processes within the machineStrong background in Flexo printing, die-cutting, and rotary die cutters.
Experience with Flexo Glue Folder production machines
High school diploma or equivalent; technical certifications are a plus.
Technical & Soft SkillsStrong mechanical aptitude for troubleshooting and machine optimization.
Excellent math and measurement skills for precision cutting.
Strong leadership, communication, and coaching abilities.
Problem-solving and decision-making skills in a fast-paced environment.
