PEST CONTROL TECHNICIAN

This is your chance to work in a fast paced, service business performing the role of a structural Pest Control Service Technician for our growing residential and commercial client portfolio. Our company has been providing quality, environmentally friendly pest control in the Lower Mainland of BC for over thirty years. We provide an Integrated Pest Management approach to all structural pest and urban wildlife problems in a safe and environmentally friendly manner. Duties for this position would include providing solutions for our valued customers by providing them with inspections and safe treatments for structural pests in their home or workplace. No experience is necessary as we provide all the necessary training and ongoing support. If you are personable, enjoy challenges and have a clean driving record, this could be the career for you!

Location: Lower Mainland, BC.

Responsibilities & Requirements

Route Work / On Demand Work

• Service our residential and commercial clients on a frequent basis (eg. weekly, monthly, etc.); our clients would include restaurants, apartment buildings, warehouses, etc.

• Digitally document any findings / treatments and provide recommendations to enhance the existing pest management program

• Must be able to read, write and communicate in English (for reports and proposals)

• Must be personable, confident, and able to work alone and/or in groups

IPM Certification

• Our Service Technicians are required to have an “IPM (Integrated Pest Management) Certificate”, which is obtained by passing an open-book exam that is administered by the Ministry of Environment

• All training and study material will be provided by us in order for you to obtain your Certificate, as well as ensure you are fully equipped to safely and effectively manage our clients' pest problems

Driving Record

• Valid and current BC Driver's License required; no exceptions

• Must provide a driver's abstract for review prior to employment

Salary / Benefits

• $23.00 to $25.00 per hour

• 30% commissions on recurring sales

• Extended Health & Dental Benefits

• Permanent Full time

• Monday to Friday (40 hours)

• Occasional after hours / weekend calls (overtime provided)

• Full Time, permanent

• Company vehicle
