The Nuna Group of Companies is now accepting resumes for a Training Team Lead. This role is responsible for the implementation of Nuna's training program, and for assisting in the development and review of associated training materials. The Training Team Lead is also responsible to support site trainers, and provide training assistance on projects without a dedicated training resource.

Some Key Responsibilities:
Manage the delivery and implementation of the company's training program.
- Ensure implementation of the company's training program is consistent and meets the company's standards at each operational site.
- Support operations in the safe and efficient operation of heavy equipment and provide specialist advice, coaching and practical support as required.
- Liaise with site operations/project management on training deliverables and customer service satisfaction.
Provide support to site trainers.
- Assess quality and effectiveness of training provided by site trainers. Ensure training is consistent between sites and meets company standards.
- Provide technical advice, coaching, guidance, and mentoring to site trainers on safe and efficient operations of heavy equipment.
- Assist site trainers in the delivery of training programs.
- Communicate the company's training priorities to site trainers.
- Provide direct and indirect support to projects without a dedicated training resource to ensure company employees are adequately trained for their assigned work and accurate training records are maintained.
Assist in the design, development and review of company training materials.
- Create training materials on equipment and task training.
- Develop and update training evaluations to ensure they meet or exceed legislation, OEM and industry standards.
- Identify new tasks or equipment that require training resources.
- Identify best practices and continuous improvement initiatives to raise safety awareness, improve safe work practices, and improve the safe and efficient operation of heavy equipment.
Qualifications:
Technical Skills and Knowledge:
- Excellent organizational and communication skills, specifically written and verbal communication skills.
- Excellent interpersonal skills. Proven ability to remain objective and calm under pressure. Ability to inspire trust, teamwork and high performance.
- Strong technical skills and knowledge in equipment operation in multiple types of environments. Ability to adapt to various environments and different types of equipment.
- Strong technical skills and knowledge in equipment maintenance and operation (i.e. servicing, tire work, steaming, etc.).
- Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office application software and training application software (LMS).
- Ability to use independent judgment and initiative within established guidelines as well as to listen, follow directions and act on feedback.
- Ability to conduct research and find information.
- Proven ability to keep lines of communication open between appropriate organizational levels and departments.
- Ability to travel 50% throughout the year, and work both in Nuna's corporate office and field sites.
Work Experience and Education:
- Ten (10) years of operating experience in construction and mining environments. Experience in finishing work considered an asset. Experience in working on remote projects considered an asset.
- Five (5) years of leadership (supervisor or management) experience.
- Five (5) years of training experience in delivering training or educational programs to adults.
- Two (2) years of experience using learning and training management systems. Experience with operational application software (e.g. enterprise resource planning (ERP) system) considered an asset.
- Two (2) years of experience in developing training programs, materials and safe work standards.
- Post secondary education considered an asset.
- Registered Professional Trainer designation considered an asset.
- Red Seal Certification considered an asset.
- Multilingualism considered an asset.
