Job Description: The Post-Harvest Lead will be responsible for managing the post-harvest operations, which include the processing, curing, trimming, and packaging of cannabis products. This role ensures that all post-harvest activities comply with company standards, regulatory requirements, and industry best practices, while maintaining high-quality output. This is a full-time, hourly position at $24-26/hr depending on experience. Must have cannabis security clearance and able to work on the weekends.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Supervise and manage the post-harvest team, including trimming, curing, and packaging cannabis plants.
  • Oversee the drying and curing processes to ensure optimal quality, flavor, and potency.
  • Implement and monitor standard operating procedures (SOPs) for all post-harvest activities.
  • Monitor environmental conditions such as temperature, humidity, and airflow to ensure optimal curing.
  • Conduct quality control checks throughout the post-harvest process to ensure products meet company and regulatory standards.
  • Track and report on production metrics, including yield and efficiency.
  • Train, mentor, and provide ongoing support to post-harvest staff.
  • Ensure proper inventory management and product labeling.
  • Assist with compliance reporting and inspections related to post-harvest activities.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to post-harvest operations.
  • Collaborate with other departments, including cultivation, packaging, and sales, to ensure smooth workflow.

Qualifications:

  • Proven experience in post-harvest operations within the cannabis industry.
  • Strong knowledge of drying, curing, trimming, and packaging processes.
  • Ability to lead and manage a team effectively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent attention to detail and quality control skills.
  • Knowledge of cannabis regulations and industry standards.
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Ability to lift and handle heavy plants and equipment.
  • Flexibility and adaptability to changing demands.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Certification in cannabis cultivation or post-harvest processes.
  • Previous supervisory or leadership experience in a similar role.
  • Knowledge of advanced post-harvest techniques and technology.
