Our client is a fast-growing data analytics and AI startup supporting remote work while maintaining a strong presence in San Francisco and Toronto. Their mission is to help organizations make timely, data-driven decisions by harnessing the power of cutting-edge knowledge graph technology. They have developed a low-code interface that enables businesses to derive real-time insights without relying on complex code.
They are hiring an Engineering Manager based in Burlington, Ontario. You will manage a team of around 10 Engineers, and while we are looking for someone technical and able to do code reviews, we're equally looking for someone who balances technical prowess with more of a product focus.
Responsibilities
- Leading, mentoring, and developing a team of full-stack engineers.
- Setting team goals, priorities, and performance expectations.
- Conducting performance reviews, providing feedback, and supporting career growth.
They are pretty cutting edge across the board and are aligned with leading data trends in Databricks/Spark, for example, and with a very advanced CI/CD infrastructure via Helm and Karpenter. They are squarely at a very exciting intersection of graph technology and AI - building net-new tech to make GenAI work for enterprises on private data
Here is a bit about their tech stack:
- React JS frontend
- Backend in Springboot (Java), Python and Golang.
- Data Tier: Databricks (Spark) and Snowflake (SQL)
- Platform: EKS/AKS on AWS/Azure, respectively, with Helm and Karpenter
