Job Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented Residential Plumbing Estimator to join our team. This role focuses on tract-built homes with pre-built quotes, so while plumbing experience is preferred, in-depth knowledge of plumbing codes is not required. The ideal candidate will be responsible for reviewing provided project scopes and compiling accurate cost estimates to support competitive bids.

Key Responsibilities
  • Review project blueprints, specifications, and pre-built quote packages to develop accurate plumbing cost estimates.
  • Calculate material, labor, and equipment costs for residential plumbing systems.
  • Collaborate with project managers and clients to confirm scope and requirements.
  • Source and evaluate vendor/subcontractor pricing for plumbing materials and services.
  • Prepare and submit timely bids and proposals based on standardized estimating procedures.
  • Maintain organized records of all estimates, submitted bids, and finalized costs.
  • Support cost-saving initiatives by identifying efficiencies or alternatives in materials/labor.

Qualifications
  • Experience: Minimum 1-2 years in construction estimating or related field; plumbing experience preferred.
  • Education: High school diploma or equivalent required; technical training or certifications a plus.
  • Skills:
    • Familiarity with residential plumbing components and construction practices
    • Proficiency in estimating software (e.g., PlanSwift, QuickBid) and Microsoft Office
    • Excellent math, analytical, and problem-solving skills
    • Strong attention to detail and organizational habits
    • Effective written and verbal communication skills
