BlackRock Resources is seeking talented candidates for a GENERAL MANAGER with our manufacturing client in the Toronto, ON area.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Overseeing the daily operations of the business that include inside sales, outside sales, inhouse service, field service, light production, engineering, and accounting.
  • Creating and implementing growth strategies in line with North American and corporate goals and objectives
  • Ensuring that all departments are operating in line with corporate goals.
  • Setting and tracking KPI's for all internal departments that are inline with corporate goals.
  • Setting annual budget in line with corporate guidelines and policies and managing the budget throughout the year.
  • Managing the P&L of the organization in line with corporate guidelines and policy
  • Recruiting, hiring, training and managing the local staffing needs
  • Maintain sales responsibility with a limited number of direct key accounts, partners, or end-users
  • Work with Operations Manager to prioritize:
    • engineering activities for quotes, orders, and service
    • purchasing, production and service have all required documentation
    • service activity for inhouse repairs, field service and commission
    • building and shop cleanliness and a 5S program
    • establish a shop floor management process
    • setting shop schedule and monitoring performance
  • Work with Sales Manager to prioritize:
    • Quoting activities
    • Sales tracking through CRM system
    • Setting territory goals
    • Evaluating sales partners
    • Establishing pricing structure based on market needs
    • Tracking quotation activity

Education/Training/Experience:
  • Bachelor's degree in engineering or a related field
  • Minimum of 5-10 years of manufacturing and sales experience

Travel:
Some Domestic and International travel may be required.
