Service Building Automation Systems Technician

Role:

Reporting to the Building Automation Operations Manager, the Service Building Automation Technician will be responsible for maintenance, take-offs
and service calls.

Day to day, you will be working with Service Coordinators, Field Technicians, Building Operators & Management to complete preventive maintenance and service calls on time and on budget.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Include, but are not limited to the following:

• Provide take-offs and assist with quotations

• Network start-up and setup, troubleshooting (IP, RS-485, etc.)

• Point-to-point verification of I/O

• Configure, optimize, and troubleshoot systems

• Implement graphical user interface (GUI)

• Document and catalogue commissioning

• Submission of commissioning reports

• Perform wiring checkout and automation start-ups using provided software and tools

• Perform software and hardware troubleshooting
• Participate in training directed at increasing job-related skills
• React to emergencies as needed, including emergency calls at non-scheduled hours

Desired Experience, Education & Certification:

• HVAC Technician with solid Mechanical experience
• Member of UA 787

Demonstrated experience working with:

• Building Automation Systems,

• IP Networking,

• Low voltage control systems

• Mechanical and HVAC systems

• Electromechanical devices

• Pneumatic Control

Experience with some or all following programming tools:

• Niagara Workbench

• Schneider Electric EcoStruxure

• FinBuilder

• Honeywell Spyder Tools

• Johnson Controls PCT

• Distech Controls GFX
