Key Responsibilities:
- Support daily construction tasks, manage schedules, organize tools and equipment, and ensure crews are safety-ready with proper PPE and documentation.
- Communicate clearly with crews, subcontractors, and foremen to keep work aligned, on track, and responsive to on-site needs.
- Monitor site progress against targets, identify ways to improve efficiency, and uphold a clean, safe, and professional worksite.
- Support constructability reviews, deficiency management, and warranty-related work.
- Promote a culture of safety by conducting daily hazard assessments, participating in toolbox talks, and ensuring adherence to COR-level safety standards.
- Assist in ongoing risk management efforts and maintain a safe work environment that reflects a safety-first mindset.
- Over 5 years of experience as a Lead Hand in commercial, residential, or mixed-use construction OR as a skilled tradesperson with a strong drive to grow into a supervisory role.
- Proven ability to lead crews and manage tasks in a fast-paced environment
- Strong knowledge of construction practices, OHS legislation, and WCB regulations
- Trade certification and safety training (e.g., First Aid, WHMIS)
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and digital reporting tools
- Valid driver's license and flexibility to travel between sites as needed
