Job Title: Security Specialist - Access Management

The Position:
- The Security Specialist – Access Management plays a crucial role in safeguarding identities and managing user access within the organization.
- This position ensures that appropriate access controls are enforced, user accounts are properly configured, and security policies are adhered to.
- The role involves managing account setups, monitoring account usage, auditing permissions, resetting passwords, and responding to access-related issues.
- The ideal candidate will have a strong attention to detail, a solid understanding of access control principles, and experience working with security policies to prevent unauthorized access.
Key Responsibilities
- Fulfill access requests across managed systems and platforms in compliance with applicable processes, policies, certified standards, and regulations.
- Promptly revoke physical and logical access for departing personnel.
- Manage physical access (door access cards, ID cards) and logical access (accounts in systems such as Windows, SAP, Office 365, and custom applications).
- Ensure adherence to security policies and recommend necessary updates.
- Maintain and document security procedures to protect computer and information assets.
- Conduct security audits, generate reports, and assist in both internal and external audits.
- Participate in security and access control projects.
- Support and train application and data owners on security best practices.
- Manage the distribution and recovery of credentials and security tokens.
- Control and audit elevated privileged accounts.
- Respond to security access incidents and escalate as needed.
- Support NERC CIP compliance activities related to access and information management.

Education & Certifications (Preferred):
- CompTIA Security+, SSCP, CISSP, ITIL, or equivalent certifications.
