The organization's Primary Care Clinic is a training site with clinically-related teaching of trainees, medical students, medical residents, clinical fellows and other health professionals occurring concurrently with the direct and indirect care. Opportunities exist for candidates seeking both part time and full time commitments during normal business hours, Monday to Friday.
What you will be doing:
- All clinical activities associated with the medical practice of a Family Practitioner providing outpatient care including: Continuing care through active assessment and treatment
- Treatment planning, surveillance, and follow-up.
- Participation in interdisciplinary team care conferencing and medical coordination including, disengagement assessment and complex care plan of the clients.
- Documentation, medical orders, referrals and care coordination with other programs, providers and team members.
- Current College of Physicians of BC (CPSBC) license – Full – in good standing
- Canadian College of Family Practitioners (CCFP) is an asset
- Canadian Medical Protective Association (CMPA) – Mandatory
- A strong preference will be given to those with expert knowledge of inner-city primary care and substance use disorders.
- Ability to work alongside and in partnership with colleagues to help the Primary Care team achieve its aims and objectives.
- Appointment with the UBC department of Family Practice an asset.
