Role Overview: On behalf of our downtown client, we are recruiting for a senior-level Litigation Assistant/Paralegal to join a dynamic commercial litigation practice encompassing Construction Law, Employment Law, and Indigenous Law. This role offers competitive compensation, excellent benefits, and a team-oriented environment.


Responsibilities:

  • Managing electronic calendars and diary systems.
  • Drafting and formatting litigation-related documents and correspondence, such as pleadings, summaries, reports, briefs, and Affidavits of Records.
  • Organizing both digital and physical files.
  • Interacting with clients, legal counsel, and external experts.
  • Tracking and updating file progress, as well as responding to routine correspondence.
  • Handling all day-to-day administrative and clerical tasks including billing, opening/closing files, filing, photocopying, and scanning.
  • Performing various administrative tasks including billing, opening and closing files, filing, photocopying, and scanning.
  • Compiling and distributing annual report packages, including preparing annual resolutions.
  • Reviewing minute books and rectifying any discrepancies.
  • Updating and maintaining corporate records to ensure they meet legal requirements.

  • Excellent written and oral communication abilities.
  • Independent worker with a proactive mindset.
  • Collaborative team member with strong interpersonal skills.
  • Highly organized with a keen eye for detail.
  • Skilled at time management, prioritization, and multitasking.
  • Dependable and responsible.
  • Proficient in legal software and systems.
  • Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office.
  • Familiarity with litigation support tools is beneficial.
