PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Responsibilities will include, but may not be limited, to the following duties outlined below:
- Use the forklift (primarily reach truck - reach lifting device) to dispatch raw materials to the production team as per the daily production schedule.
- Pick raw materials, set up for production in a timely and accurate fashion.
- Ensure the timely flow of goods.
- Prepare goods for handling.
- Operate 1 Tower
- Disassemble, clean and prepare spare diaphragm pumps and maintain spares for quick change in towers.
- Receive and process materials.
- Process shipments in the correct order.
- Pick and pack orders to be sturdy and presentable.
- Use the computer to input inventory data into the stock management software.
- Update documents and input data in the ERP and inventory system.
- Ensure all safety procedures are followed and actively contribute to improving the safety program.
- Follow all quality procedures and work to enhance the quality program.
- Adhere to all procedures and work instructions.
- Maintain a clean and organized working environment (5S).
- Always Use all required protective equipment (safety glasses, safety shoes, safety vest, ear protection, gloves and hard hat etc.).
- Respect and apply all safety practices as instructed during training.
- Back-up Tower Operator
- Perform other duties as assigned by the Manager.
Knowledge & Skills Requirement:
- A valid forklift license with experience operating reach trucks (Raymond Reach) is required.
- Strong knowledge of warehouse operations, inventory control, and material handling procedures.
- Understanding of workplace safety regulations and best practices.
- Physical ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work on feet for extended periods.
- Previous experience in a manufacturing or logistics environment is required.
- Familiarity with 5S methodology and Lean manufacturing principles.
- Strong organizational and time-management skills.
- Ability to work independently and in a team setting.
Salary & Conditions:
- Job Location: Ammega Canada Inc., 385 Ambassador Drive,
- Salary: $21 hourly
- Days of work: Monday to Friday,
- Morning, Afternoon or Night shift (flexible to all shifts)
The hiring is open to all applicants able to work 40 hours per week.
