Position Summary:
The Ob/Gyn Sonographer Technologist will be responsible for performing a variety of obstetric and gynecological ultrasound examinations to aid in patient care and diagnosis.
Responsibilities:
- Perform ultrasound examinations for radiologists, gynecologists, and other departments.
- Produce high-quality images for treating and diagnosing patients.
- Perform pelvic and endo-vaginal ultrasounds.
- Prepare patients for examinations, ensuring their comfort and understanding of the process.
- Utilize ultrasound equipment effectively, including adjusting machine parameters and optimizing images.
- Obtain measurements, M-mode studies, Color Doppler, and Spectral Doppler information.
- Review diagnostic ultrasound image quality.
- Maintain a sterilized and disinfected environment.
- Maintain accurate patient records and documentation.
- Communicate effectively with physicians and nurses about findings and patient needs.
- Graduate of an accredited Diagnostic Medical Sonography program.
- Current registration with CMRITO.
- Proven proficiency in OB/GYN sonography, including pelvic and endo-vaginal ultrasounds.
- Strong knowledge of female reproductive anatomy and physiology.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and patient care skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy.
