Here's what you'd do:
- Reporting to the Quality Manager, the QC Inspector is responsible for testing materials and finished products to ensure they conform to product work instructions by all applicable laws and company standards.
- They test products across the three stages of production (before, in-process, and final) to ensure quality levels are met.
- Key to this role is a drive to help develop and implement quality initiatives and relate actionable data to the production teams.
- Develop and maintain ITPs and NDE reports, including continuity Logs.
- Organizing and setting up all outside Inspections and testing, such as TSSA and CTS (N.D.E. testing and reporting).
- Monitor process, product, and quality system performance by the applicable product standards and procedures. Report any concerns through the NCR / CAR processes.
- Ensure compliance with customer and company standards and specifications.
- Participate as required in cross-functional team activities, including all in-process operations.
- Monitoring the quality of incoming materials entering the plant and finished products leaving the plant to detect any non-conformances.
- Dimensional evaluation of parts using appropriate equipment, gauges, and fixtures.
- Ensure that equipment is calibrated correctly before use.
- Identify areas for quality improvement and implement new methods accordingly.
- Support all departments in dimensional data collection.
- Prepare and maintain test data.
- Evaluate data and draft reports, noting any relevant deviations from existing standards.
- Compile First Article submissions on assigned programs.
- Participating in research and development projects to improve manufacturing processes for new products.
- Address any quality issues, including GD&T, testing and timing, capability study requirements, and Advanced Quality Plans (production control plans and Inspection and test Plans, including external NDE requirements).
- Responsible for communicating customer requirements and standards within the organization
- Maintains and organizes calibration of Equipment and Gauges in all QCI facilities.
- Follows and complies with all Operational Procedures and policies outlined in the Employee Handbook, Quality and Environment programs (IATF, ISO 14001).
- Other duties as assigned.

Required Skills / Qualifications:
- Associate Degree in Science or Engineering.
- Minimum of 2 years experience in quality-related functions.
- Minimum of 2 years experience in ASME Section VIII and Section IX Welding (Section III an asset), CWB.
- Minimum of 2 years experience in Weld Inspection to ASME, CWB, and AWS.
- Minimum of 2 years experience in fundamentals, principles, and management of quality functions within the scope of Arrow EP Group.
- Minimum of 2 years experience in quality-related function auditing processes(ISO, ASME, PED, CWB).
- Minimum of 2 years experience in Microsoft Office, shipping/ receiving software, and internally developed Quality Assurance software.
- Minimum of 2 years experience in 2 or more CMM software (asset)
- Minimum of 2 years experience in Fully competent at operating CMMs and gauges on the existing product.
- Minimum of 2 years experience in Outlook, PowerPoint, Word, Excel.
Preferred Skills / Qualifications:
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints and conduct first-article inspections.
- Good planning, organizational, and communication skills
- Ability to convert between metric to imperial units.
- Able to program and measure standard parts on CMM.
- Effective time management skills.
- Excellent Communication Skills, attention to detail, and good situational awareness.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team, and excellent problem-solving skills.
Additional Information:
- Upon offer of employment, the individual will be subject to a background check and a drug screen.
- Walking and Standing walk or stand for extended periods while inspecting different areas of the plant.
- Climbing and crawling may require climbing ladders or crawling into tight spaces to check equipment or safety systems.
- Lifting and Carrying Occasionally, you must lift or carry equipment, safety gear, or other materials, though this is usually limited to manageable weights.
- Exposure to Plant Conditions Depending on the plant, Specialists might be exposed to varying environmental conditions such as noise, dust, or temperature extremes.
