Dream is looking for a Warranty Service Technician

Dream's Construction team is currently looking for a Warranty Technician to provide our homeowners exceptional customer service and act as a dedicated resource to address requests and enhance the home buying/ownership experience.

What will you do?

Below are some of the primary responsibilities you will be taking on in this role. There will be more, but we can discuss those in person.

  • Meet with homeowners to investigate and assess listed deficiencies/conciliation items;
  • You will conduct all regularly scheduled customer orientations and possession walk thru;
  • Work with the Project Coordinator to delegate, organize and coordinate repair work;
  • Perform repair, warranty and service tasks as required when trade cannot be assigned to the repair;
  • Establish and maintain relationships by working closely with many external vendors and various internal departments as the liaison to ensure all outstanding work and deficiencies are completed;
  • Effectively communicate and coordinate construction seasonal matters homeowners; and
  • Track data and warranty requests in CRM (Builder Trend) and JDE Homebuilder.

What type of experience and skills do you have?

  • 2+ years of experience residential home construction. Experience in a similar customer service position would be an asset;
  • Trade certificate in Construction or equivalent is preferred;
  • Carpentry, electrical, plumbing, drywall and painting experience required;
  • Proficient computer skills including Microsoft Office, JDE Homebuilder & Hyphen;
  • Flexible, with the willingness and ability to travel daily to assigned sites; and
  • Must have a valid driver's license and wheels to prove it.
