Job Summary

The Group Tickets Sales Representative is a crucial member of the sales team, dedicated to driving ticket revenue through personalized outreach and relationship-building.


This role focuses on promoting group ticket packages to organizations, schools, associations, and community groups, fostering meaningful connections with fans and offering unforgettable experiences at Ottawa Black Bears games and events.

The ideal candidate is a motivated, results-driven professional with strong interpersonal skills and a passion for providing exceptional customer service. This position requires a proactive approach to selling and includes game-day responsibilities to ensure group clients have an outstanding experience.

Main Responsibilities

  • Identify and prospect new group ticket clients, including corporate organizations, schools, community groups, and associations.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with group leaders, acting as their dedicated point of contact for all ticketing needs.
  • Develop customized group ticket packages and promotions that align with client interests and organizational objectives.
  • Actively sell group tickets through outbound calls, in-person meetings, and networking opportunities.
  • Collaborate with the marketing team to create tailored campaigns and promotional materials to drive group sales.
  • Meet or exceed individual and team sales targets, providing regular updates and sales forecasts to management.
  • Assist in planning and executing group-specific experiences, such as on-field events, pre-game activities, or post-game meet-and-greets.
  • Attend all home games and group events, ensuring clients have a seamless and enjoyable experience.
  • Manage and track sales activities and client information in CRM software, maintaining up-to-date and accurate records.
  • Stay informed about ticketing trends and industry best practices to continually enhance sales efforts.

Qualifications

  • Bilingual (English & French) is preferred
  • Goal-oriented mindset, with a demonstrated ability to meet and aim to exceed sales targets
  • Previous experience in a ticket sales position is an asset, preferably in the sports and entertainment field
  • Previous customer service experience is an asset
  • Experience with Salesforce or CRM platform is an asset
  • Valid drivers license and access to own transportation
  • Willing and available to work weekends, holidays, and evenings as required
  • Previous customer service experience
  • Able to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines
  • Strong organization and communication skills
  • Team player
