* Stoney Creek, ON * Full time, permanent position * Monday to Friday, 7 am to 3:30 pm, with occasional half day on Saturdays * $25 to $35 per hour, depending on experience * Benefits, profit sharing, pension contribution, work clothes provided You love being a machinist. Who are we? Standard Machine & Manufacturing's (http://www.standardmachinemfg.com/index.htm) is a Stoney Creek-based business, established in 1991. We custom machine, service, and repair components and parts for a wide range of industries, using CNC and conventional equipment. Machinist As a Machinist, your main goals are to: * efficiently set up and run a variety CNC and conventional equipment * read and interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, charts, and tables * repair machine tools and parts * fit and assemble components and machine parts You have experience running and setting up a variety of machines in a production environment, so you'll be well-prepared to handle any of our machines. You're also eager to learn – if there are any machines you haven't worked with, we'll get you up to speed. Finding the right fit is important to us. Qualifications * Experience working as a machinist in a machine shop and/or manufacturing environment * Experience setting up and operating CNC and conventional machining equipment * Ability to read and interpret blueprints and drawings * Ability to lift up to 23 kg (50 lbs.) * Valid driver's license and a clean driving record * Completion of a relevant machinist certificate or diploma is an asset How to Apply Our online application will give you the option to apply to this role as a complete person – not just a resume.
