JOB SUMMARY
The Quality Engineering Summer Co-op Student will work at EVRAZ NA's Quality department at the EVRAZ Regina facility located just North of Regina, Saskatchewan for a period of 4 or 8 months. As a member of the Quality group, they will participate in steel and tubular product development projects, mill process optimization trials, and qualification testing. The successful applicant will use investigative techniques such as statistical process control, process analyses, quality management system development, data collection and analyses, and will have exposure to mechanical testing and metallographic analyses. The position will provide exposure to all aspects of EVRAZ NA operations including steelmaking, casting, rolling, and pipe forming and welding.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
- Project/Program Work
- Development of project goals and planning
- Evaluation and analysis of results
- Preparation of formal report and review with stakeholder
- Trial Support
- On-site presence to collect data, answer questions, and ensure data/samples are collected.
- Conduct process analyses
- Quality management program (ISO 9001/API Q1)
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
- Enrolled in a recognized Engineering program at a Canadian University and completed a minimum of 1 year of the program.
- Preference will be given those in Materials Science or Mechanical Engineering based programs
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND COMPETENCIES
- Knowledge of engineering principles including statics and strength of materials
- Previous exposure to steel manufacturing and testing processes would be a bonus
- Strong communication skills (written and verbal)
- Self-starter with passion for improvement
- Good organization skills and commitment to safety
