POSITION SUMMARY
The Regional Vice President of Operations is responsible for leading and optimizing operational performance across the British Columbia/Alberta district. This strategic leader drives business growth, ensures compliance, and fosters a high-performance culture to enhance patient experiences. The role requires a licensed pharmacist or a former pharmacist with strong leadership, business acumen, and the ability to execute corporate strategies while supporting regional teams in delivering exceptional service.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Strategic Leadership
  • Develop and execute operational strategies that align with corporate objectives.
  • Drive initiatives that enhance customer experience, operational efficiency, and profitability.
  • Translate company goals into actionable plans that inspire and mobilize regional teams.
  • Represent the company internally and externally with strong leadership and sound judgment.
  • Champion a customer-first approach, ensuring services meet diverse community needs.

Team Leadership & Development
  • Provide strategic direction to District Directors and Regional Leads.
  • Foster a culture of collaboration, accountability, and continuous improvement.
  • Recruit, mentor, and develop high-performing teams to drive regional success.
  • Set performance expectations and ensure teams have the necessary tools and support.

Operational & Financial Performance
  • Monitor and optimize key performance indicators (KPIs) across pharmacy and front store operations.
  • Implement data-driven process improvements to drive operational excellence.
  • Advocate for regional needs, ensuring the right resources and support are in place.
  • Identify and execute business development opportunities to strengthen regional performance.
  • Manage regional budgets, control costs, and drive profitability while maintaining service excellence.

Compliance & Quality Assurance
  • Ensure adherence to industry regulations, company policies, and quality standards.
  • Implement and enforce operational best practices to maintain service excellence and safety.
  • Identify and mitigate risks, ensuring a secure and compliant operating environment.

Cross-Functional Collaboration
  • Partner with key departments including central operations, finance, strategy, and human resources to achieve company objectives.
  • Serve as a regional advocate, ensuring seamless execution of initiatives that support overall business success.
Qualifications
  • Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) degree
  • Must reside in British Columbia or Alberta.
  • Minimum of 10 years of experience in retail operations, with at least 5 years in a district or regional leadership role
  • Proven track record of driving operational excellence and achieving targets.
  • Strong ability to lead and motivate teams
  • Proven results of enhancing the customer experience through efficient operations
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
