Do you have experience and education in Office Administration and experience providing exceptional customer service? Do you have strong written and verbal communication, keen attention to detail, and the ability to be self-motivated? If so, we want you on our Corporate Services team!

As the successful candidate reporting to the Supervisor, Corporate Services, you will provide support services to the Corporate Services Department which includes being customer service focused and providing exceptional customer service to staff, RDCO partners, and members of the public.

In your role, you will:

  1. Provide front line service for Corporate Services:
  • Front counter service focused with courtesy and good judgement, ensuring telephone and email inquiries are directed and addressed in a timely manner.
  • Prepare and distribute correspondence.
  1. Provide administrative support to Corporate Services including:
  • Receive building maintenance requests.
  • Assist with records management.
  • Organize meetings, agendas and PowerPoint presentations
  • Record minutes.
  1. This position organizes corporate services events, coordinates maintenance and service for office equipment, and maintains and orders office supplies.

The ideal candidate for this role has a certificate or diploma in Office Administration and 1 year of experience, ideally working in local government or public sector environment. Local government knowledge is an asset. You must have excellent interpersonal, communication and problem-solving skills with proficiency in MS Office, and a strong attention to detail. You must be self motivated and be able to work both in a team as well as independently under minimal supervision.

This is CUPE Local 338, 24-month term position that has an hourly wage of $35.27 based on a 7-hour day.
