As a Senior Land Development Project Engineer, you will be a key player in managing and delivering complex residential and commercial/industrial development projects. You will lead cross-functional teams, ensuring that all aspects of the project are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest standards. Essential Responsibilities & Duties

  • Oversee the full lifecycle of land development projects, ensuring that each phase is completed efficiently, on schedule, and within budget.
  • Lead and coordinate project teams, including engineers, designers, and contractors, to ensure project alignment and success.
  • Define and manage project scope, objectives, and deliverables, ensuring alignment with stakeholders' expectations.
  • Collaborate with environmental, geotechnical, and structural teams to ensure integrated solutions throughout the project.
  • Review and approve technical reports, drawings, and plans to ensure compliance with local regulations, codes, and industry standards.
  • Develop and maintain project budgets, schedules, and procurement strategies.
  • Conduct regular site visits to monitor progress, mitigate risks, and ensure that quality control is maintained.
  • Establish and maintain relationships with clients, contractors, and local authorities to ensure smooth project execution.
  • Mentor junior team members and support their professional growth, encouraging continuous improvement and innovation.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Experience: 5+ years in land development project management, with extensive experience in managing residential and/or ICI developments.
  • Education: Degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field.
  • Skills:
    • Expertise in project management, including cost estimation, scheduling and contractor management.
    • Solid understanding of site grading, servicing, stormwater management and infrastructure design.
    • Strong leadership and team management skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
    • Excellent communication and negotiation skills, with the ability to engage effectively with clients, stakeholders and regulatory bodies.
  • Additional Requirements:
    • Valid driver's license and access to a vehicle with insurance.
    • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Preferred: Professional Engineer (P.Eng) designation or working towards it; PMP certification is a plus.
