· You follow the firm's onboarding process step by step as provided to you.

· You are willing to take on the odd high-conflict matter

· You will go to court when necessary but will do what you can to avoid court and making matters more high-conflict than they need to be

· You are committed to firm protocols in terms of consistent client care, document saving and retrieval, and working in a cloud-based environment (Clio)

· You are committed to dispute resolution training, that is, becoming qualified as a mediator if you are not yet qualified (mediators make great family law lawyers and are great negotiators). Like we said, we are client focused.

· You believe in the ethical approach to family law and not gouging your clients for money.

· You are looking for mentorship from a highly experienced (28+ years of practice) family law lawyer.

· You are open-minded and value inclusivity.

· You refuse to take instructions from a client if those instructions are against the best interest of children, bullying to the other spouse, or just the wrong thing to do.

At Firm we have weekly mentoring and connection calls for our associates.

Your position includes:

- The ability to work remotely

- We provide you with quality leads and initial client consultations

- We set up your file matters and consultations

- We do all accounting/billing and collecting on your behalf

- You are not required to "market" but only are required to follow our systems and do great client work

· You must be qualified to practice family law in British Columbia.
