Their continued growth, via both organic and recent M&A activity, has lead to the creation of a Vice President, Finance position, reporting directly to the CFO, and leading the full finance function. The VP Finance will lead a team of over 30 professionals, and drive the focus on continuous improvement in processes, analysis, and strategic influence across the business.
Key responsibilities will include:
- Financial oversight of all compliance areas, including financing and customer credit agreements
- Supporting strategic planning and decision support, both long-term and current
- Creating improved Budgeting, Forecasting, and Variance analysis for long-term and current budgets, in support of the strategic plan
- Cash Flow and Foreign Exchange management to support significant working capital investment in global commodities and other inventory
- Risk Management and mitigation to meet regulatory requirements and standards, and safeguard company assets and investments
- Team leadership and development, creating a culture of transparency and continuous improvement
- Stakeholder Engagement by creating a robust system of reporting key metrics to drive action
- Driving Operational Improvement across the organization by collaborating with the leadership team
The following qualifications will contribute to success in the role:
- Accounting designation, and/or relevant education (MBA, B Com.)
- 10+ years of progressive leadership experience in finance and accounting roles
- Exemplary analytical, leadership, communication, and influencing skills
- Experience in a company with multiple legal entities in different jurisdictions
- Experience managing large values of multiple currencies including hedging and other risk mitigation techniques
- Strong software skills in Excel; experience getting maximum value from an ERP system
