Who You Are

Youre a tenacious individual who has a proven track record of sales success in the Healthcare SaaS industry with a particular emphasis on breast (or chest) imaging. Youre a self-motivated individual with a passion for consultative sales and a desire to make the world a better place!

Ideally you will be based in British Columbia, Alberta or Ontario.

The Role

As our first on the ground Sales Director for Canada, you would be responsible for prospecting, nurturing and driving sales opportunities across all products in the Volpara Health portfolio across the country. You will establish and continuously develop relationships with C-suite, departmental and technical decision makers. Building on your existing understanding of breast cancer detection, with the ability to learn the technical and clinical knowledge to create new opportunities, you will position the products and develop strategies for prospective customers to achieve success with their programs and patients.

Financial Performance

  • Prospect, nurture and drive sales opportunities across all products in our portfolio in an assigned territory.
  • Develop and execute strategic territory and account plans to ensure achievement of assigned business goals and targets. Establish and continuously develop relationships with C-suite, departmental and technical decision makers with customers, and key opinion leaders within the assigned territory.
  • Maintain strong after-sale customer relationships, cultivating positive references and encouraging engagement in the Volpara Hive customer community.

Product & Market Expertise

  • Maintain mastery of product and clinical knowledge necessary to demonstrate and differentiate our products in a clear and compelling way, optimally handle objections and develop strategies for prospective customers to achieve success with their programs and patients.
  • Track and communicate market trends to/from the field including competitor data and develop and lead effective counterstrategies.
  • Generate proposals, prepare sales quotations, plan customer meetings, and support contract negotiations.
  • Differentiate our products throughout the various stages of the sales process and actively support the customer through their decision-making process towards a successful outcome for the customer and Volpara Health.

  • Maintain exceptional business hygiene as directed by your manager i.e.: keep Salesforce updated regularly, managing security training, etc. as requested.

What You Bring

  • Purpose driven and passionate about making an impact on patients and health of women and families
  • Deep curiosity and a willingness to learn
  • Proven success as an Account Manager, Consultant, Sales Executive or Manager,selling SaaS or other software/IT solutions in Women's Health, breast imaging preferred
  • Excellent market development, pitching, listening, negotiation & closing skills, including the ability to articulate product value propositions and differentiators vs competitive products
  • Proven and progressive previous experience in engagement and communication with both C-suite and technical decision makers i.e. CEOs, Strategic Planning Directors, CIOs, nursing staff, medical specialty staff (Genetics, Radiology, Oncology, IT, etc.)
  • Self-starter, delivers against internal targets, with the ability to drive the sales process from opportunity to close
  • Ability to interface with both internal team members and external customers as part of consultative and solutions-based sales approach
  • Excellent organizational and verbal / written communication skills
  • Experience with Epic and Salesforce preferred
  • Able to travel domestically and internationally for events/customer meetings as required
  • Ability to work remotely from within the designated territory, while being an effective team player and delivering the Volpara culture
  • British Columbia, Alberta or Ontario home base preferred.
  • Bachelors Degree preferred.

Compensation and Benefits

The total compensation package for this role includes a base salary (CAD100,000 - 120,000) plus a commission plan with the potential to grow your earnings significantly. Once the territory is established, we anticipate annual on target earnings could exceed CAD200,000. The final compensation package will ultimately depend on factors including relevant experience, skillset, knowledge, territory / geography, education, business needs, market demand and performance versus KPIs.
