Starting Salary: $50,000/annum

The Opportunity:

This role is vital to the creation of M&M Food Market flyers distributed to customers nationwide. The Graphic Designer will apply their skills to design, format, and assemble electronic layouts for print and digital media in both English and French. With expertise in computer graphics and proficiency in Adobe InDesign, Illustrator and Photoshop, they will produce high-quality flyers, catalogs, signage and other marketing assets that effectively connect with M&M Food Market's customers.

Key responsibilities include managing the electronic layout of bilingual print and digital media. This involves selecting and organizing text, artwork, colors, file types, and formats to ensure the final products meet customer requirements and adhere to company standards.

Responsibilities:

• 75% production and 25% design and updating existing artwork
  
• Page layout - all projects are completed using Adobe InDesign
  
• Select and do basic editing of photos and vector artwork to meet production standards
  
• Create digital screens for store locations with Adobe After Effects
  
• Ensure projects are created to specification and produce digital proofs for approval
  

Education:

• Degree (or work experience equivalent) in computer graphics, design and print production

Requirements

• 1-3 years' experience as a production-focused Graphic Layout Artist or Graphic Designer
  
• Strong knowledge of InDesign, Illustrator & Photoshop
  
• Solid understanding of the Mac Operating System
  
• Strong analytical, organizational, interpersonal and communication skills
  
• Strong problem-solving skills, ability to perform under pressure and demonstrated leadership skills, working well within a team environment
  
• Results- and detail-oriented
