Director of Supply Chain & Warehousing

Exciting opportunity with a leading company in the food manufacturing industry! Our client is seeking a Director of Supply Chain & Warehousing for their facility located in Toronto's west end. Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement a comprehensive supply chain strategy aligned with the company's overall business goals, focusing on efficiency, cost optimization, and customer satisfaction.
  • Lead and manage the distribution network, including coordination with third-party logistics providers and cultivating strong relationships with brokers, customers, and key stakeholders.
  • Collaborate with senior leadership, including the VP of Operations, to ensure alignment of supply chain initiatives with broader business strategies.
  • Identify and execute opportunities to streamline supply chain operations, reduce costs, and enhance performance.
  • Monitor and manage costs across procurement, production, transportation, and logistics activities.
  • Maintain optimal inventory levels to meet customer demand while minimizing excess stock and avoiding shortages.
  • Oversee the movement of goods across the supply chain by coordinating transportation, warehousing, and related services.
  • Build and maintain a reliable supplier network to ensure timely access to quality materials at competitive prices.

Skills and Qualifications:

  • Master's degree in Business Administration, Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.
  • A minimum of 6 years of experience in logistics or supply chain management, preferably in a leadership role.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and relevant logistics or supply chain software.
  • Strong organizational, analytical, and time management skills with the ability to prioritize and meet deadlines across multiple projects.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively across all levels of the organization.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
