We're currently in search of a Sr. HR Generalist to join our team and help us navigate the exciting challenges of being a mature, but growing business. That's where you come in. About the Position As our new Sr. HR Generalist, your primary goal is to oversee the day to day operations of human resources for our company, with a focus on supporting our Vaughan head office and warehouse. You'll provide strategic support to the full range of human resources functions, including (but not limited to): recruitment, training/development, employee relations, compensation, and organizational development. You'll serve as a trusted consultant to both staff and management, providing expert level advice relating to human resources best practices, employment standards, and legislation. Our management team will count on your experience and knowledge to guide us to make the best decisions for our business. You're perfect for this role because, like us, you're never satisfied by the status quo. There are ample opportunities to develop our HR practices, and increase sophistication in the ways we work. Some key projects you'll work on include revamping our recruitment processes, increasing employee satisfaction & retention, and examining our compensation program. Working With Avron This is a full-time permanent position working in Vaughan. Our location is highly accessible, and easy to get to via public transit. You'll work 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday, during standard business hours. There is some flexibility with daily start and end times, depending on your needs. We're offering a competitive salary commensurate with experience, as well as benefits, an RRSP program, and 3 weeks' vacation to start. Qualifications * 3+ years' experience in a human resources generalist role, with experience supporting and/or managing multiple human resources areas * Experience in human resources, in a small to medium sized organization * CHRP or CHRL completed or actively in progress * Strong knowledge of provincial and federal employment standards and legislation, and HR best practices * Excellent computer literacy with intermediate to advanced experience with MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook * Experience performing basic research and data analysis related to human resources * Experience in working in a logistics/distribution environment would be an asset, but is not required * Post-secondary diploma or degree in human resources, business, organization development or a related field or equivalent How to Apply Our online application will give you the option to apply to this role as a complete person – not just a resume.
