Overview
Supports Confluence Health by providing services to employees, volunteers, and other individuals who may perform services at a Confluence Health location, with the underlying objective of enhancing the overall health and safety of the organization, its employees, and patients/visitors.
Position Reports To: Employee Relations & Employee Health Manager
Responsibilities
- Meets with new and existing employees, volunteers, and contracted employees for the following reasons:
- New employee onboarding clearance.
- Routine and emergency triage for on-the-job incidents.
- Administration of required or recommended immunizations.
- Respirator medical evaluation and fit testing.
- Tuberculosis screening, including PPD skin testing, placement and reading.
- Bloodborne and other pathogens exposure counseling.
- Provides illness evaluations and return to work clearance for non-work related injuries.
- Serves as a liaison between employees and HR/management.
- Works collaboratively and maintains active communication with external and internal stakeholders and resources (Quality, HR, Safety Committee, Health Department, etc.).
- Assists in the collection and reporting of employee data, including employee onboarding clearance, vaccination compliance, return to work clearance, injury statistics and other items as requested. Maintains records and reports as required by regulatory agencies and professional standards.
- Skill in written and verbal communication including computer systems and applications, facilitation practices and principles and presenting in front of large groups.
- Skill in gathering, collating and reporting information.
- Ability to work effectively with staff, patients, public and external agencies.
- Required to maintain active Basic Life Support (CPR) certification.
- Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications
Required:
- Current licensure in the state of Washington (RCW 18.88) or licensure through Multistate Nurse Licensure Compact (SSB 5499).
- Minimum of 3 years' nursing experience in the ambulatory and/or acute care setting.
Desired:
- Knowledge of infection prevention practice, OSHA, Labor and Industries, Washington State Administrative Code (WAC).
- Employee Health Nurse Certification.
- Knowledge of Lean improvement methodology and health care quality improvement practices.
