Can you handle a bucket and a bolt gun? A shovel and a screed? We need both.
At HB Pools, our Excavation & Install Crew Operators do more than dig holes—we build the foundation (literally) for backyard escapes. This role is a 50/50 blend of machine operation and hands-on labour with a skilled install crew. From running a skid steer to grouting pool floors, you'll play a key role in shaping beautiful outdoor spaces from start to finish.

If you're someone who thrives in the dirt, can level like a pro, and loves seeing a project take shape each day, you'll feel right at home here.

What You'll Do (50% Equipment / 50% Labour):

• Operate a skid steer and/or mini excavator to dig pool shells and trenches

• Shape and grade sites with attention to layout and slope

• Level and compact backfill around pool walls

• Assist in bolting and assembling steel wall panels

• Grout the bottom of pools and help prep concrete for finishes

• Pass electrical wire through conduits for pool lights

• Help lay and secure plumbing before backfilling

• Prep for concrete pours: forming, bracing, wheelbarrow work

• Maintain your equipment and keep the site organized and safe

• Work closely with a 2–3 person crew—communicating and problem-solving on the fly

What You Bring:

• 2+ years of experience operating skid steers or mini excavators

• Strong hands-on skills from construction, landscaping, or trades

• Confidence with backfilling, trenching, and working around foundations

• Familiarity with concrete prep, forming, and grouting is a big plus

• Willingness to hop off the machine and help your crew with whatever's needed

• Positive attitude, physical stamina, and good communication

• G-class license preferred
