Are you experienced in a fast-paced warehouse environment and looking for a new challenge? We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Machine Operator to compliment our Client's team. If you have a keen eye for detail and the ability to meet productivity targets, we want to hear from you!
Responsibilities:

• Operate and maintain the Smetco Pallet Sortation machine
• Inspect and sort pallets into grades for forklift pick-up
• Direct pallets to proper destination stackers from automated indexers
• Operate control stations with numerous buttons and switches
• Meet daily and weekly productivity and quality targets
• Maintain a clean and organized sorting area
• Accurately record pallet sorting, including counts and grades
• Perform other duties as assigned by the supervisor or leadership team

Requirements:

• Experience with operating machinery and/or Smetco Machine preferred
• Familiarity with safety procedures and the use of PPE in an industrial setting
• Computation of basic math skills
• Follow safety procedures and use required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE)
• Ability to comprehend pallet quality criteria to ensure quality targets are consistently achieved

Working Conditions:

• Work environment susceptible to seasonal changes in temperature
• Exposure to dust and loud noise (hearing protection provided)
• Exposure to heavy equipment, moving conveyors, and heavy forklift traffic
• Ability to lift, carry, and move pallets and materials weighing up to 85 lbs. repeatedly throughout the shift
• Ability to stand and walk for extended periods on hard surfaces
• Frequent bending, stooping, and kneeling required
• Strong visual acuity to inspect pallets for defects and perform detailed repair work
• Occasionally required to maneuver on uneven surfaces or platforms
• Must have steel toed footwear in good repair
