We are design/build contractors focused on lowering soil-related risks for our clients while saving them time and money. We deliver a wide range of solutions for new, existing and natural structures. Our team of expert ground engineers understand that each structure has its own unique requirements thus require a truly customized plan. Now, we're looking for a new Geotechnical Construction Engineer to help us continue to grow and expand so we can help more clients find the best solutions to their challenges. Practically speaking, you will: * Work closely with other engineers to prepare designs, costs, and deliver proposals * Influence decision-makers to want to work/continue to work with GeoSolv * Share ideas and contribute to initiatives to grow awareness and further improve our recognition in the market * Work with clients, senior colleagues and professionals * Lead and guide more junior engineers with engineered designs You'll be a great fit for this role if you have a strong technical aptitude, excellent communication skills, strong interpersonal skills and the ability to influence others. You'll also be served well by your comfort engaging with key decision-makers, and ability to leverage your knowledge to captivate and hold attention during meetings. If this sounds like what you're looking for, we can't wait to hear from you Working with GeoSolv This is a full-time, permanent position offering a competitive total compensation package including salary + bonus compensation ($100,000+), scaled with proven experience, health benefits, and a matched RRSP plan. Our office is located in Woodbridge. You'll be asked to do some local travel for site visits client meetings, and occasional national or international travel for events. You'll have autonomy in how you want to coordinate your travel needs, and in turn will need to be flexible to work outside of standard office hours as needed. Working from home will be an option. Ours is a close-knit group, and although we're all knowledgeable professionals, we also enjoy having fun together. You'll also get to see your designs come to fruition through design-build construction, not just doing the design only. We can't think of anything more satisfying than that! Qualifications * Five to ten years' experience working in the geotechnical field (e.g., working for a contractor or consultant as an engineer) * The ability to use your influencing skills to help others make key decisions * Strong technical writing experience such as responding to RFPs, and preparing quotes. * Post-secondary degree or diploma in geotechnical engineering, civil engineering, or a closely related technical field * Valid driver's license and able to travel locally. * Valid passport and ability and comfort with occasional national or international travel * Professional Engineer (P.Eng.) designation completed or in progress (an asset) * Skills with AutoCAD, Revit, geotechnical/geostructural modelling software (an asset) How to Apply Our online application will give you the option to apply to this role - with a cover letter and a resume.
