We are currently seeking a Summer Student - HR Assistant

Job Type:Summer Student

Position Summary:

We are seeking a dedicated and proactive Summer Student for the HR Assistant role to join our team, working under the supervision of the Manager of People & Culture. This role is essential in supporting our People and Culture team in training and coordination activities.

Must have excellent communication skills and be a good problem solver as you will be dealing directly with staff in all areas of our business, whether on the phone, email or in person.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate training sessions in collaboration with the People and Culture team.
  • Manage scheduling, logistics, and communication for training initiatives.
  • Support special projects in areas such as recruitment, retention, or performance programs
  • General administrative support: Perform general office duties such as filing, data entry, organization.
  • Communication, working in Word or Excel creating/updating documents with accuracy
  • Foster a positive and collaborative work environment by effectively communicating with team members.

Qualifications:

  • Enrolled in Post Secondary Education with an interest in Human Resources.
  • Excellent organizational skills with a keen attention to detail.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Proficient in computer skills, including Microsoft Office Suite and other relevant software.
  • Attention to detail and the ability to handle confidential information with professionalism
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
