The Role:
At STRIVE, we are partnered with a leader in their industry with more than 50 years in business. Our client is currently seeking an experiencedMaintenance Supervisorto join the core management team and oversee the maintenance in the Vancouver facility.
The Maintenance Supervisor will be involved with overseeing all site maintenance, including building, production, and sanitation equipment, as well as mentoring the maintenance team by improving the health and safety programs, preventative maintenance, and training programs. This is a hands-on position!
This will be a Tuesday to Saturday position with a starting time of 2:00 PM - 10:30 PM; which can be negotiable for the right candidate. The hired candidate is required to be flexible for extra work hours during busy periods, having on-call availability.
Responsibilities:
- Supervise the execution of daily/weekly maintenance tasks/projects assigned to the team.
- Respond to service calls from the production floor, troubleshoot, and repair machine breakdowns to minimize downtime.
- Install new equipment and machines.
- Collaborate with quality and shipping teams to ensure all targets are being achieved.
- Communicate with vendors and find the best quality in raw materials, as well as parts for machinery upgrades.
- Strong experience with semi-automated machinery.
Must Have's:
- 5 years of maintenance experience in the food industry.
- 2-3 years of Supervisory or Lead experience.
- An Electrician, Millwright, or equivalent trade certification is a strong asset.
- Predictive maintenance, able to anticipate any potential issues with machinery.
- Strong adaptability, able to pivot within an extremely fast-paced plant!
- Good written and verbal communication skills.
- Proficient with CMMS programs.
- Able to delegate and monitor progress.
- Effective prioritizing, organizing, and time management skills.
- Ability to cultivate strong and effective working relationships.
- Available for work overtime if needed.
Compensation:
- $85,000 to $90,000
- Vacation (3 weeks)
