Job Type: Permanent, Full-Time

Position Summary

As a Product Strategy Manager within our Driver & Vehicle (D&V) business unit, you will be the subject matter expert on D&V systems offerings. You will operate at the nexus of business development, operations, product management and product development. You'll participate in defining and developing the strategic direction of our suite of solutions, ensuring that our offerings meet the ever-evolving needs of our customers, and enabling our go-to-market approach.

Responsibilities

  • Needs Assessments
    • Collaborate with clients to thoroughly understand their specific needs and requirements.
    • Engage in strategic discussions to evaluate and define complex solutions that address client challenges.
    • Conduct thorough assessments and document the current state of solution designs, integrations, and features/capabilities.
  • Strategy Development
    • Develop strategies for converting current customer solutions to modern solutions, enabling Business Development, Product, and Service Delivery teams.
    • Collaborate with these teams to ensure they are equipped to implement the modernization strategies effectively.
    • Support the development of internal business cases for product development.
  • Go-to-Market Definition and Enablement
    • Define and enable the go-to-market strategy for a solution mix involving D&V products linked to tailored solutions.
    • Work closely with the Director of Product Management & Product Development to align on product strategies and market approaches.
    • Assist leadership and estimation teams with product costing and pricing strategies.
  • Voice of Customer Program
    • Develop and execute a Voice of Customer program to gather valuable insights.
    • Use customer feedback as inputs to the product roadmap and business development pursuits.
  • Business Development Enablement
    • Represent the company in discussions regarding D&V systems offerings, ensuring clear communication and alignment with client objectives.
    • Provide support in the field as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) for Business Development.
  • Sales and Promotional Tools
    • Create and refine sales tools to support the Business Development team in their efforts.
    • Develop content to effectively promote D&V products to potential clients.
  • Proposal Development
    • Serve as a critical resource in responding to Requests for Proposals (RFPs), helping to articulate meaningful and customized propositions that resonate with potential clients.
    • Provide proposal support as an SME for Proposal Writing (PW).
  • Service Delivery Enablement
    • Develop content and provide informational support to Service Delivery teams for D&V product integrations with other components comprising the customer's solution configuration.
Qualifications

Education and Knowledge

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science (or related field) and business acumen or a Bachelor's degree in Business Administration (or related field) and an affinity for technology.
  • Knowledge of the following:
    • Product management
    • Product development
    • Product marketing
  • Knowledge of the identification technology and/or secure credential solutions industry is an asset
    • Knowledge of Driver & Vehicle industry an additional asset
  • Presentation and writing skills

Technical Environment

  • Proficiency with Microsoft 365 Copilot
  • Demonstrated interest and aptitude for learning new technologies.

Experience

  • 5+ years of experience in a technology product or strategic marketing related role
  • Experience in industries providing modern enterprise software/systems technology to government.

Mandatory Requirements

  • Language: Fluency in English (reading, writing, speaking)
  • Travel: Ability to travel domestically/internationally approx. 6-10 weeks/year.
  • Security Clearance: Ability to obtain and maintain Government of Canada Secret (Level II) personal security clearance.
