Job Summary:
Title: IT & Platform Lead
Location: Hybrid; primarily remote, but with occasional travel to Toronto Provincial Office or a regional office as needed
Hours: 37.5 hours per week
Salary: $80,000 - $84,000/year
Duration: One-year contract

Position Summary:

Autism Ontario is looking for a dynamic and experienced IT & Platform Lead to join our technology team. Reporting to the IT Manager, this role is responsible for the development, maintenance, and security of key IT systems, including digital web (both front-end and back-end development), SharePoint Online, Microsoft Entra ID (formerly Azure AD), Microsoft Intune, and Managed Application Management Software. Key Responsibilities

  • Digital web: manage front-end and back-end development, ensuring an optimized user experience, security, and system performance.
  • SharePoint Online Management: Develop, maintain, and optimize SharePoint solutions for document management, collaboration, and workflow automation.
  • Microsoft Entra ID & Intune Administration: Oversee identity and access management (IAM), enforce security policies, and manage device compliance and endpoint protection.
  • Application Management: Lead application deployment, updates, and security configurations for managed software solutions.
  • Serve as a liaison between internal users and the Managed Service Provider (MSP) for ticket escalations and resolution tracking.
  • Oversee the IT ticketing system, ensuring timely issue resolution, tracking project-related technical requests, and managing out-of-scope application support.
  • Develop and maintain Power Automate workflows to improve efficiency and automate business processes.
  • Provide training and user support on SharePoint, digital web, IT security best practices, and other enterprise applications.
  • Collaborate with external vendors and service providers to resolve complex technical challenges and optimize system performance.
  • Occasionally, support for critical events and programs may require working outside regular business hours or on weekends. Additionally, incident management may necessitate after-hours or weekend work until technical issues are fully resolved.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree or postgraduate diploma in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • 3+ years of experience in WordPress development (front-end & back-end) and SharePoint Online development.
  • 2+ years of experience with Microsoft Entra ID (Azure AD), Microsoft Intune, and Managed Application Management software.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft 365 services, Power Automate, and cloud-based IT support.
  • Advance knowledge of data privacy laws, governance frameworks, and cybersecurity best practices.
  • Experience troubleshooting IT systems, Microsoft Office Suite, and customer support ticketing systems (Zoho Desk is an asset).
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a customer-centric approach.
  • Previous experience in the non-profit sector or working with vulnerable populations is an asset.
  • Certifications such as Microsoft Azure Fundamentals, Microsoft 365 Certified: Modern Desktop Administrator, or relevant cybersecurity certifications are preferred.
  • Demonstrated commitment to equity, inclusion, anti-racism, anti-Black racism, and anti-ableism.
  • Bilingual proficiency (French/English) is an asset.
